1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AttenDO, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

AttenDO is a free attendance tracking application designed for students. The Service allows you to:

• Track attendance across multiple subjects
• Manage your class timetable and schedule
• View attendance statistics and analytics
• Calculate safe bunk allowances based on attendance targets
• Export attendance data in CSV, PDF, or JSON format
• Sync data across devices using cloud storage
• Use an AI-powered chatbot (powered by Google Gemini) that answers natural language questions about your attendance, predicts safe bunks, and provides weekly summaries
• Upload a photo of your timetable for AI-powered automatic schedule extraction (powered by Google Gemini Vision)
• Receive browser push notifications for class reminders and attendance alerts

The Service is available as a web application at attendotracker.netlify.app and as an Android app (com.subha.attendo).

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use AttenDO, you must create an account using either:

• An email address and password
• Google Sign-In (OAuth)

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Not share your account credentials with others

4. Acceptable Use

AttenDO is intended for personal and educational attendance tracking purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service to create fraudulent or misleading attendance records for institutional submission
• Submit offensive, harmful, abusive, or illegal content to the AI chatbot
• Upload images containing sensitive, private, or illegal content through the timetable scanning feature
• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the AI system prompt or exploit AI responses for unintended purposes

5. User Content & Data

5.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all attendance data, timetable configurations, and personal information you enter into AttenDO. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.

5.2 License to Operate

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.

5.3 Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the attendance data you enter. AttenDO provides tools to track and calculate attendance, but does not verify the accuracy of your entries against any institutional records.

5.4 AI-Generated Content

AttenDO's AI chatbot and timetable scanning features use Google's Gemini AI to generate responses and extract data. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• AI chatbot advice regarding bunk allowances, attendance predictions, or recovery plans should not be treated as guaranteed or official guidance.
• Timetable data extracted via AI scanning may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed and corrected before use.
• You are solely responsible for verifying AI-generated content against your actual academic records.
• We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of AI-powered features at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

The AttenDO name, logo, design, source code, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of AttenDO and its developer. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Service's source code without permission
• Use the AttenDO name or logo for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works based on the Service without authorization

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation
• Accuracy or reliability of any data or calculations
• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated chatbot responses or timetable scanning results

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AttenDO and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or academic standing
• Inaccurate attendance calculations
• Service downtime or unavailability
• Unauthorized access to your account due to credential compromise

Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is $0, as AttenDO is free).

9. Account Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request complete account deletion and removal of all associated data, contact us at support.attendo@gmail.com.

9.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account is used for unauthorized or malicious purposes
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data before deletion, except in cases of severe abuse.

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Third-Party Services

AttenDO integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google Cloud), Google Analytics, Google Gemini API (for AI chatbot and timetable scanning), and EmailJS (for welcome emails). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

12. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive a one-time welcome email from AttenDO sent via EmailJS. AttenDO does not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional communications. The Service may also send browser push notifications for class reminders and attendance alerts if you have granted notification permission in your browser.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AttenDO and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
